A Place Where Children Feel at Home
Wimberley Children’s House is a warm and nurturing Montessori school for children ages 2.5 to 6. Inspired by the natural rhythms of childhood and grounded in the Montessori method, our environment supports independence, exploration, and deep learning — all within a peaceful and beautifully prepared space.
Why Montessori?
Add Hands-On Learning
Children explore with real materials that build real understanding.
Independence & Confidence
From choosing work to preparing food, children build trust in themselves every day.
Nature-Based Discovery
We spend part of every day outdoors. Our “forest” is a classroom too.

"An education capable of saving humanity is no small undertaking: it involves the spiritual development of man, the enhancement of his value as an individual, and the preparation of young people to understand the times in which they live."
-Dr. Maria Montessori
Our Garden

Learning through nature
The garden is a place where children dig, plant, and explore while learning responsibility and connecting to the rhythms of nature.

Meet Prairie Boulmier
Prairie Boulmier has spent over 25 years in the world of Montessori education — as a teacher, researcher, speaker, trainer, and founder of programs on four continents. After working internationally for nearly a decade, Prairie returned to Central Texas, where she helped launch a Montessori farm school in Driftwood before founding Wimberley Children’s House.

“This isn’t just a school — it’s a carefully prepared environment where children are seen, respected, and encouraged to become capable, compassionate human beings.”
